Revify vs Porter.
Side by side, facts only.

Both are built for tattoo work. Plans, features and payments compared from public pages, as of October 1, 2026.

The comparison

Revify vs Porter: what this covers.

If you are weighing Revify vs Porter, you are comparing two tools made with tattoo shops in mind. Porter is tattoo shop software for independent artists and studios, with booking, payments, a point of sale, commission splits, marketing, consent forms and reporting.

Revify pairs InkedIn Tools, the booking app built by tattooers, with Revify Payments for card payments at the counter.

This page lays out what each one offers, what the plans cost and who each one tends to fit. We checked Porter's public website and pricing page on October 1, 2026. Pricing and features change, so confirm the details on each provider's site before you decide.

Two different starting points

Porter describes itself as trusted at 1,500+ studios, and its plans are split into options for independent artists and options for studios. Booking and payments come together in every Porter plan, through its built-in Porter Payments.

Revify started on the payments side. It was co-founded by tattoo shop owners, including a co-founder of Made To Last Tattoo, and it is based in Charlotte, NC.

InkedIn Tools is now part of Revify, so a shop can run booking on InkedIn Tools and checkout on Revify Payments, with the deposit at booking and the balance at checkout on the same system.

Pricing

What each one costs.

Porter and Revify price their software in different ways, so it helps to lay them out plan by plan.

Porter plans

Per Porter's pricing page on October 1, 2026:

  • Artist Essentials, $35/mo with a 30-day free trial. Calendar and scheduling, deposits and payments, automated reminders, post-appointment follow-ups, optional POS hardware, chat and reports.
  • Artist Pro, $65/mo with a 30-day free trial. Adds automated waivers and consent forms, Porter Marketing (email and SMS), 100 free marketing SMS a month and 250 free marketing emails a month.
  • Studio Pro, $250/mo for one location with a 14-day free trial. Unlimited artists and staff, deposits and payments with sales tax, automated commission splits, 1099s, reminders, waivers and consent, Porter Marketing, shop booking requests and a custom shop website.
  • Studio Ultimate for multiple locations. Contact Porter's sales team for pricing.

Studio Pro is a flat price with unlimited artists, not a per-artist price.

Revify plans

  • InkedIn Tools, $99/month, with every feature included and a 14-day free trial.
  • InkedIn Tools at $0/month when your shop processes at least $10,000 a month with Revify Payments. That is $1,188 a year in value.
  • Revify Payments, $0/month, with a free terminal to use while you process with Revify, next-day funding and no long-term contract.

Revify vs Porter on payments

Porter includes its own Porter Payments in every plan. Porter's site says card rates are shown in the app under Payment Rates, so we do not list them here. Porter also offers buy now, pay later through Affirm and Afterpay.

Revify Payments uses dual pricing, which is a different model from a single posted rate. Your shop posts a cash price and a card price. Both show on every receipt, and the client chooses how to pay.

Revify sets up dual pricing to card-network rules and handles the signage, receipts and terminal setup for you. On card sales, your shop earns up to 0.75% Monthly Cash-back, paid monthly. Use the savings calculator to estimate what your shop would earn.

Fit

Who each one fits.

There is no single right answer. The better choice depends on how your shop runs, how many artists you have and how you want to handle card payments.

Porter can be a good fit if

  • You are a solo artist who wants a lower starting price. Artist Essentials is listed at $35 a month.
  • You want commission splits and 1099s handled inside your shop software. Porter lists both on Studio Pro.
  • You run several locations and want one plan across them. Porter's Studio Ultimate is built for that.
  • You want buy now, pay later options for clients through Affirm or Afterpay.
  • You want a 30-day trial on the Artist plans.

Revify can be a good fit if

  • You want to post a cash price and a card price, and earn up to 0.75% Monthly Cash-back on card sales.
  • You want a free terminal while you process with Revify, next-day funding and no long-term contract.
  • Your shop processes $10,000 or more a month in card sales, so InkedIn Tools is $0 a month.
  • You want every booking feature included at one price: booking link, deposits, consent forms, one inbox, reminders, aftercare, review requests, missed-call text-back, website builder, email marketing, mobile app, and Google Calendar and QuickBooks sync.
  • You want help with setup, from signage to receipts to the terminal.

Looking for a Porter alternative?

Shops that look for a Porter alternative usually care about one of two things: how card payments are priced, or what the software costs for a growing team.

If card pricing is your focus, read how Revify Payments works and see the free equipment options. If booking features are your focus, the tattoo booking app page walks through InkedIn Tools step by step.

InkedIn Tools vs Porter for day-to-day booking

Both handle online booking, deposits at booking, reminders and follow-ups. InkedIn Tools puts Instagram DMs, Facebook messages, texts and email in one inbox tied to the client profile, stores reference images with the booking and sends a text back when you miss a call mid-session.

Porter offers chat, booking requests on its studio plan and marketing by email and SMS. Try both with real bookings during the free trials and see which one your artists prefer.
